REFERENCE scientific supervisor of master's thesis Liholobova Xenia Dmitrievna "VISUAL CITATION IN RUSSIAN PHOTODOCOMENTIALISM"  In the topic of master's thesis, Ksenia Dmitrievna Likholobova combined her scientific and creative interests. So, already during her studies at the bachelor's degree, she became interested in such a phenomenon as intertextuality, and with distinction defended the WRC on the topic "Precedent phenomena as a speech instrument of infotainment." Having entered the Master's Degree in Media Design, she decided to take more seriously her hobby — photography, and in 2017 she took 3rd place at the UniversCity contest in the nomination "Best Photo Project" with the history of "The Week of Petersburg Firefighters". In addition, since the school Xenia Dmitrievna was interested in art and twice became a prize-winner of the federal stage of the All-Russian Olympiad of schoolchildren in the world artistic culture. Interest in studying the cultural memory of the people and the desire to explore documentary photography became the reason for choosing the theme of the master's thesis. Ksenia Dmitrievna works as a content manager in the company for the production of goods for newborns LLC "Roxy". In her professional activity, she actively uses the skills she received during her studies at the Higher School of Journalism and Mass Communications: she writes texts, organizes shootings and takes photographs, shoots and mounts videos (including her own punching), prepares presentations, banners, various printed products . During our time together, Xenia Dmitrievna Likholobova has proved herself to be an exceptionally independent, innovative young researcher who nevertheless listens to the scientific adviser who is able to adequately respond to the comments made. Xenia is distinguished by a high level of theoretical training, the ability to competently analyze the selected material, formulate adequate scientific tasks and solve them. In her master's thesis, she undoubtedly managed to deepen the notion of the phenomenon being investigated, to reveal his new features. Xenia is fluent in the literary language of the presentation, however, sometimes she does it unnecessarily emotionally, which again proves her interest in studying this phenomenon. It should be noted that the work on the thesis topic was rather difficult. Figuratively speaking, Xenia several times "was at a dead end", but to her credit, persistently sought approaches to the problem in question. As a result, we have an independent research, scientifically quite literate and reasoned. Master's thesis was tested twice. So, on the topic were published theses "Visual citation in photographs of Sergei Maximishin" for the annual conference of young researchers "Media in the modern world" (2017) and "Criteria for selecting photographs with visual citations in Kommersant.ru photo galleries" for the collection "Information Age" of the traditional International Forum "Petersburg Readings" (2018). Also, Xenia delivered a report at the 16th International Conference of Students, Masters and Graduate Students "Media in the Modern World. Young researchers "in 2017. Thus, it should be noted that during the work on the master's thesis, Ksenia Dmitrievna Likholobova fully revealed her research potential, demonstrating the necessary qualities for this. As for compliance with the formal requirements for graduation qualifications, the test of the text in the SafeAssign program revealed 17% of text borrowings that are purely technical in nature (structural units, proper names, links to Ksenia's final qualifying work, etc.).
