Review on master’s thesis of the master student of Saint-Petersburg state university specialization 01.02.04 «Applied mathematics and informatics» master’s program game theory and operations research of Kasimova Yana Aleksandrovna on the theme Optimal information disclosure in multi-server queueing games Graduation thesis Y. A. Kasimova is dedicated to the problem of finding the optimal information disclosure policies in the multi-server queueing models. In this graduation work multi-server models are investigated in two scenarios. In the first case the customers are supposed to be experienced, which in turn means they are aware about threshold, after which the server conceal information about queue length. In the second scenario the customers are supposed to be inexperienced, so they are not aware about threshold queue length. For the both cases a game among customers is considered and optimal strategy (which prescribes to customer to join the queue or balk) for uninformed customers is found. And after that the optimal information disclosure policy for the server is also determined. I would especially like to emphasize the following 1.In the final qualifying work by Y. A. Kasimova the optimal information disclosure policies for above mentioned scenarios of multi-server queue model were found and the results are illustrated by numerical examples (the MATLAB software package is used). 2.The master’s thesis was performed by Y. A. Kasimova independently with consultation with the research advisor. 3.During the execution of the graduation work author has shown the necessary theoretical and applied skills and competences acquired in her training period on the program. 4.The work is generally well-designed in accordance with the requirements. Unfortunately, the optimization of servers utilization was not considered by the author in her graduation work. In my opinion, such kind of optimization is preferable to others is the case of multi-server queueing models and could lead to interesting results. But nevertheless, this work is an interesting scientific research, which provides some useful practical results. General conclusion: the work of Y. A. Kasimova meets the requirements for final qualification works and deserves the rating “good”. Research advisor, Cand.Sc(Phys.-Math), Assistant Kostyunin S. Yu.
