REVIEW OF THE SUPERVISING PROFESSOR       For the graduation qualification work of the student at the St. Petersburg State University                     Kokotova Ksenia Evgrnyevna   On the topic: "DPRK POLICY IN INTER-KOREAN RELATIONS (1994-2016)"  Graduation qualification work by K.E. Kokotova is devoted to the extremely important issue: the policy of North Korea (DPRK) in inter-Korean relations, since 1994 (the time of the DPRK "founder" Kim Il Sung decease), and further – from the time of inter-Korean rapprochement in 1998 – 2007 and then, up to the period of gradual deterioration in inter-Korean relations in 2008 – 2016.  After inauguration of the new president of the Republic of Korea, Mun Jae-in (10.05.2017), who has a firm intention to improve inter-Korean relations, the understanding of the North Korean policy in inter-Korean relations, which may or may not contribute to the support of possible South Korean initiatives in the issue of inter-Korean relations, is especially important.  While compiling her work K.E. Kokotova has used information from primary sources in Korean language, as well as scientific literature in Korean, Russian and European languages. Thus she presents in her work a fairly complete overview of the main aspects in the inter-Korean policy of the DPRK in 1994 – 2016, and in some cases when information on specific Political decisions of the North Korean leadership is inaccessible, she gives a number of facts of inter-Korean relations that allow one to make certain assumptions about North Korean politics in inter-Korean relations.  The topic "The policy of the DPRK in inter-Korean relations (1994 - 2016)" is not absolutely new for the author of the work as before she has studied DPRK's relations with the outside world at the end of the 20th and beginning of the 21st centuries, and she has published a scientific article (“Mutual relations of the DPRK with UNESCO's international organizations in 2000s – 2010s” // Proceedings of the Center for Korean Language and Culture (ISSN 1810-8008), Issue 16. St. Petersburg, 2014. P. 226-237).  The chapter No 3 ("The Policy of the DPRK in Inter-Korean Relations in 2008 - 2016") of the graduation qualification work by K.E. Kokotova has particular value because it provides the reader with information on inter-Korean relations in recent years, which has not yet been fully reflected in the scientific literature.  The work by K.E. Kokotova is compiled at a high level, corresponding to the requirements for the graduate qualification work of a master's student, and its author - K.E.
