REVIEW in the graduate qualification work of the bachelor Saakjan Avetik Temievich EDGE CATHODE MODELLING This graduate qualification work is devoted to a diode system based on an edge cathode modelling. The emission characteristics of such devices using the phenomenon of field emission depend very strongly on the shape of the emitter, which makes the calculation of such systems a very difficult task. To solve the boundary value problem for the Laplace equation Saakyan A.T. used the method of separation of variables. As a result of the boundary-value problem solution, the distribution of the electrostatic potential was obtained analytically in the entire interior of the diode system in the form of Fourier series, which greatly simplifies the calculation of the field. To obtain numerical values of the potential in a diode system C ++ program was written. A graph of the electrostatic potential distribution is presented on the base of the numerical values. The structure of the graduate qualification work, which includes two chapters - theoretical and computing, is based by the research tasks of the diode system with the edge cathode. The content of this work is conform to the declared subject. The remarks on the work include the fact that the question of the series convergence on the boundaries of division of regions is not researched and the Illustrative material is not enough.
